Welcome to St Mary's, Hatfield Broad Oak, a big church in a little village.  Our church is usually unlocked and open to visitors in daylight hours.

We are part of the Diocese of Chelmsford.

Our Passion is Jesus - proclaiming and living our God's love for all people. Our Aspiration is to be a transforming presence open and welcoming to all and serving all. Our Resources are faithful people, prayer and worship.

(from "Transforming Presence": The Rt Revd Stephen Cottrell, former Bishop of Chelmsford)

The church is all that remains of a medieval priory, suppressed by King Henry VIII.  This church has been a centre for Christian worship, mission and compassion for over 850years, and is still at the centre of village life today.  We welcome children and adults to all our services.  Check our calendar of events to find out what's happening this Sunday.  Come and join with us in hearing, experiencing and sharing the good news about God's love for his world.
